A new add-in project in Visual Studio 2010 takes 45 seconds to launch with Start Without Debugging when I have Isolator installed and 5 seconds when I don't have Isolator installed.
Originally I thought this 45 seconds was a bug in Visual Studio 2010 so I filed a bug on Microsoft Connect about it. See the File Attachments section of this bug report
https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStu ... ils/551649
for a video showing the 45 seconds.
Add-in projects launch in about 2 seconds in Visual Studio 2008 with Isolator installed.

Neil,
Can you try to disable Isolator in the debugging/launching VS? This can improve the spawned VS performance. Does this make the extra time go away?

Hi Doron,
Yes disabling Isolator makes launching VS go fast.

OK, we'll investigate this issue - in the meanwhile you can disable Isolator before launching the VS under test.

Hi Neil,
 its a shot in the dark, but try disabling Typemock auto update,
in the spawned VS.

Hi Lior,
I tried that but still 45 seconds. Only disabling Isolator completely makes it go fast.
